“I am ready to attend this competition after participating in various contests and taking numerous tests, as well as benefiting from the expertise of experienced Quran masters,” he told IQNA.
He added that the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization will provide conditions for him to be able to benefit more from experts’ pieces of advice before leaving for the competition.
Barandeh noted that this year, the 45th edition of the Saudi international Quran contest will be held in the city of Mecca, next to the Grand Mosque.
The exact date of the competition has not been announced yet, he stated.
While he will compete for Iran in memorization of the entire Quran, Seyed Hossein Moqaddam Sadat will represent the country in memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Book.
Last year, Mohammad Hossein Behzadfar and Mohammad Mehdi Rezaei represented Iran in the competition’s categories of memorizing the entire Quran and memorizing 15 Juzes, respectively, but they failed to win a rank.
