Ten Quran memorizers and ten qaris took to the stage on the last day of the contest to showcase their talents and compete for the top prizes.
A large number of audience was present in the city’s Grand Musalla (prayer hall) to watch the performances on the last night.
Saeed Shahrokhi, Mojtaba Alirezalu, Mohammad Mehdi Rezaei, Ali Gholamazad, Amir Hossein Attarzadeh, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Seyed Ali Hosseini, Milad Asheghi, Mehdi Barandeh and Peyman Ayazi were the ones competing in memorization of the entire Quran.
The recitation category contenders on the last night were Omid Haqtalab, Mohammad Poorsina, Eshaq Abdollahi, Sajjad Parvininejad, Masoud Nouri, Vahid Barati, Mohsen Qassemi, Adnan Momenin, Mehdi Shayegh and Seyed Jassem Mousavi.
The top winners in the two categories will be named and awarded at the closing ceremony slated for Thursday night.
The 47th National Quran Competition, underway in Tabriz, is one of Iran’s most prestigious Quranic events.
Participants from across the country compete in various categories, including memorization and recitation.
