Egypt’s Mosque Host Lectures on ‘Family in Holy Prophet’s Seerah’

IQNA – A series of lectures on “Position and Importance of the Family in the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Seerah” were held in mosques across Egypt.

The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf organized 684 lectures in all governorates of the country under the slogan “The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best to my family; the Prophet’s (PBUH) Seerah an example in supporting the family”.

The ministry has put on the agenda the implementation of educational and scientific programs in mosques, in line with its policy to spread moderate and enlightened thought.

These lectures focused on the position of the family in Islam, the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) commitment to the growth and support of the family, and the principles and foundations established by the Prophet (PBUH) in dealing with the family, including kindness, justice, and honesty.

They also emphasized how Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Seerah is the best model for family life based on love, respect, and understanding.

Through these programs, the Awqaf ministry seeks to institutionalize genuine family values in society and emphasize that family stability is the main pillar of creating a healthy society, and that the guidance and advice of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are a suitable reference for raising children and promoting mutual respect among family members.

The lectures, which received widespread public participation, are effective in activating the role of mosques as an awareness and educational center that serves societal issues and promotes values and ethics, the ministry says.
