Meeting Discusses Construction of Mosques, Husseiniyas in Kuwait

IQNA – The first meeting of a team tasked with organizing the construction of Husseiniyas (religious centers) and mosques hosting religious rituals in Kuwait was held on Monday.

Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah on Monday, August 25, 2025, chaired the first meeting of a team tasked with organizing the construction of husseiniyas and mosques hosting religious rituals.

 

Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah chaired the meeting. 

He emphasized that these efforts reflect the country’s vision to improve religious action while ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, the interior ministry said in a statement.

In addition, it will also help uphold religious and human values and maintain Kuwait’s esteemed position regionally and internationally, he added.

The statement noted that the meeting follows the guidance of Kuwait’s leadership, aiming to establish clear procedures and high standards for licensing and organizing these religious institutions. The goal is to maximize their positive impact and enhance their role in serving the community, it added.
