IQNA – The second international conference “The Scientific Miracle of the Quran and Contemporary Issues” is being held in the Islamic University of India in the state of Kerala.

The second international conference “The Scientific Miracle of the Quran and Contemporary Issues” was held in the Islamic University of India in the state of Kerala on November 7-9, 2025.

According to medhatbarakat, this conference began on Friday, November 7, with the participation of a group of scholars and thinkers from more than 10 Arab and Islamic countries, and will end today, November 9.

Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmed, the Mufti of India, is overseeing this conference, held in cooperation with the Association of Islamic Universities and the Egyptian Society for Modern Scientific Miracles.

Sami Al-Sharif, secretary general of the Association of Islamic Universities, stated at the opening of this event that the issue of the scientific miracle of the Quran is at the forefront of global scientific issues, because the verses of the Quran have shown their superiority in many cosmic and scientific facts, while the Quran is not an empirical scientific book.

The Quran is a guiding book that illuminates the path of the human mind, he said.

Al-Sharif added that the scientific miracle in the Quran and the Prophetic tradition serves as a civilizational bridge for the connection between reason and revelation, and emphasizes that religion and science are not in conflict; rather, they share a common goal, which is to reach the truth and serve humanity.

Ali Fouad Mukhimer, president of the Egyptian Society for Modern Scientific Miracles, said in his speech that the scientific miracle in the Quran and the Prophetic tradition is not an intellectual hobby, but rather a pillar in renewing religious discourse, because it speaks to reason with the language of science and illuminates the heart with the light of faith.

He added, “Since its establishment in 2013, the Egyptian Society for Modern Scientific Miracles has been working to formulate a methodology for scientific research on miracles and determine its criteria and standards. In this regard, it has collaborated with various universities and established a specialized department at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. In addition, it supervises master’s and doctoral theses in this field.”
