Iranian Qaris Recite at Quranic Gathering in Bangladesh
The program took place at the Lah Bagh historic mosque and tourist site in the South Asian country’s capital.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relation Organization, this program was organized in cooperation with the Qiraat NGO, in the presence of several hundred reciters, memorizers, and Quran teachers in Dhaka.
The attendees listened to Quran recitations by Iranian qaris Hamed Shakernejad, Ahmad Abolghasemi, and the young Tabrizi reciter Mohammad Reza Poursafar.
The first and introductory part of the program, which was dedicated to the recitations and memorizations of local reciters, began after the Maghrib prayer, and in this part, a number of local reciters and memorizers recited verses of the Quran and some performed Tarteel recitation.
The main and second part of the program, which was planned for the recitations of Iran’s distinguished reciters, continued after the Isha prayer.
In this program, Abolghasemi, Poursafar, and Shakernejad recited verses of the Quran, respectively. Their recitations were well received by the attendees and were widely published in cyberspace, especially on Facebook and YouTube.
The program also included an educational aspect for the attendees, who were all reciters and memorizers of the Quran from Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh, and was a kind of educational class for them.
