Tayyebeh Rabani, a professor at Jamiat al-Zahra (SA), described the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as “a global and inspiring model for followers of monotheistic faiths” because her character embodied a complete spectrum of human virtues, strong family leadership, and unwavering resistance against injustice.
Speaking to IQNA, Rabani noted that Lady Fatima (SA) is revered for qualities such as chastity, honesty, devotion and commitment to justice. These attributes, she said, are “fundamental shared values in Islam, Christianity and Judaism.”
Scholars of Christian tradition have indeed produced academic works on her life. Among the most notable is Catholic priest and researcher Fr. Christopher Clohessy, whose books examine the historical and spiritual dimensions of Fatima (SA) within Shia Islam.
The professor emphasized that Lady Fatima’s example transcends religious boundaries. “Her multifaceted personality can serve as a practical and behavioral model for all human beings; not only Muslims, but anyone who believes in freedom, dignity and morality.”

A central theme of Rabani’s remarks was Fatima’s pivotal role within the family. As a daughter of the Prophet (PBUH), wife of Imam Ali (AS), and mother of Imam Hassan and Imam Hussein (AS), she presented what Rabani described as the “complete model of womanhood in the family.”
The importance of motherhood, loyalty and spiritual leadership within the household, she added, occupies a respected position across Abrahamic traditions.
Rabani also highlighted Lady Fatima’s stance against oppression, pointing to the historic Sermon of Fadak, in which Fatima (SA) defended her rights while maintaining moral integrity.
“Her stand against injustice is a global model for the pursuit of justice,” she said.
The professor linked this legacy to contemporary global movements for dignity and resistance, arguing that “a worldwide awakening toward justice” is no longer limited to Muslim societies.

Another dimension she underscored was Lady Fatima’s commitment to human dignity in her dealings with relatives, neighbors and society.
Historical accounts describe her nightly prayers, in which she reportedly prayed for others before herself—a tradition often cited in Islamic scholarship as a model of compassion and selflessness.
Rabani concluded by invoking Lady Fatima’s message of unity: despite injustices acknowledged in both Sunni and Shia sources, Fatima (SA) “never called for division.” Instead, through “wise silence and measured speech,” she aimed to clarify truth while safeguarding the cohesion of the Muslim community.
