IQNA – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) denounced the Israeli regime’s latest violation of the Gaza ceasefire, which resulted in the deaths of a 70-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child.

Destruction resulting from Israeli attacks in Gaza

Israeli forces murdered 3-year-old Ahed al-Bayouk in southern Gaza. In Gaza City, a 70-year-old woman and her son were reportedly hunted down and killed by an Israeli drone. Israel has slaughtered almost 400 Palestinians in ceasefire violations.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“These heinous murders of civilians by Israeli forces are clear violations of international humanitarian law and basic human morality. To target a 70-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child during what is supposed to be a ‘ceasefire’ is unconscionable. Our government, as a broker of this ceasefire, must demand accountability and ensure that these murders do not go unanswered.

“This continuing slaughter underscores why protections for civilians are urgently needed. We stand in solidarity with the innocent victims in Gaza and with all who call for justice and peace.”

Last week, CAIR condemned a reported propaganda campaign by a registered foreign agent of the Israeli regime to use geofencing technology to identify United Methodist (UM) churchgoers and mass text them anti-Palestinian messages.
