The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on Tuesday strongly condemned the Pentagon’s decision to award an $8.6 billion contract to Boeing Company for the production of new F-15IA fighter aircraft for the Israeli air force, calling the deal a “reward for genocide.”
According to public announcements by the Department of Defense and reporting by Reuters, the contract covers the design, testing, production, and delivery of 25 advanced F-15IA fighter jets for Israel. The aircraft will be built in St. Louis, Missouri, as part of continued U.S. military support to the Israeli government.
CAIR noted that the contract was announced amid growing scrutiny of US military assistance to the Israeli regime. The Pentagon’s own inspector general concluded that the Department of Defense failed to properly track significant portions of the $13.4 billion in military aid sent to Israel since 2023, raising serious concerns about oversight, accountability, and potential violations of US and international law.
In a statement, CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:
“At a time when human rights organizations around the world are condemning the Israeli government’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, the Pentagon’s decision to funnel billions of American taxpayer dollars and advanced weaponry to the Israeli military is morally indefensible.
“This Boeing contract sends a clear message that US defense contractors and foreign governments can profit from Israel’s crimes against humanity without consequence. It is a reward for genocide, paid for by American taxpayers.”
“Our government has a legal and moral obligation to ensure that American weapons are not used to commit human rights abuses. Instead of enabling further bloodshed, the administration and Congress must immediately halt arms transfers, demand full accountability for past military aid and work toward a just and lasting peace.”
On Monday, CAIR called for the United States to impose sanctions on Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and other members of the Israeli regime responsible for the apartheid state’s prisons after a Palestinian journalist and others kidnapped by Israel recounted details of sexual assaults, including the use of various objects and dogs to sodomize them.

Washington, D.C., based CAIR has repeatedly called for action against Israel’s systematic and documented rape and torture of Palestinians prisoners.
Also on Monday, CAIR called on the Trump administration to demand the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the Gazan doctor who walked toward Israeli tanks in an iconic video, and who has been held for one year without charge or trial after being kidnapped by Israeli forces.
