
Speaking in a radio interview, Jalil Bayt Mashali, who is also the managing director of the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), referred to the recent riots in the country during which copies of the Quran were desecrated and some mosques were set on fire, saying the enemies have resorted to such moves with the aim of fomenting discord and undermining the people’s unity.
He noted that since the advent of Islam and revelation of the Holy Quran, the infidels and polytheists tried to spread disunity and opposed the Holy Book.
Their enmity with the Quran was because they knew the power of the Holy Book to create civilization and facilitate unity among Muslims, he stated.
That is why since early on, the enemies of Islam have sought to prevent the message of the Quran from reaching the world, Bayt Mashali added.

He described the Islamic Republic of Iran as the reviver of the Quran in the world since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The Islamic Republic has made the Quran its main flag and the main path of its progress, he said, noting that in its 47-year magnificent history, it has taken many valuable steps in the field of developing the Quranic culture and promoting the Quranic teachings.
The people of Iran love the Quran, Islam, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), he underlined, saying these are the bases of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s discourse.
Bayt Mashali added that the enemies know that as long they cannot take the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) from the Iranian people, they would not be able to infiltrate this country.

He referred to the recent riots as a war waged by the enemies against Iran, the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), as evidenced in the rioters’ desecration of the Quran and mosques.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the recent rallies across Iran held to condemn the riots and acts of terrorism, saying the people renewed allegiance with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and demonstrated the fact that they are always ready to defend their red lines, that is the Quran and the homeland.
