The visit comes on the eve of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the beginning of the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) celebrations.

The president and cabinet members renewed their pledge to the lofty ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the martyrs of the revolution.

Also present was Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Hassan Khomeini, the custodian of the mausoleum.

Pezeshkian and members of the cabinet also visited the tombs of the martyrs at Behesht Zahra Cemetery and paid tribute to the high status of the martyrs.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten-Day Fajr, which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
