
It was organized at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniyeh on Thursday afternoon with the participation of a group of distinguished and international scholars and Quran reciters.
A number of the qaris attending the event recited verses from the Holy Quran.
At the end of this session, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the reciters of the Quran, describing the recitations as very excellent.
“God willing, may all these [reciters] and all of you always be with the Quran, and may this Quranic sapling grow more day by day. And may peace and mercy be upon you,” the Leader said.
People in Iran, like those in most other Muslim countries, started the month of fasting on Thursday, February 19, this year.
Ramadan is the ninth and most sacred month of the Islamic calendar, in which Muslims commemorate the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
