IQNA – A spokesman for the Palestinian resistance group Hamas condemned the Zionist regime’s move to prevent copies of the Holy Quran from entering the Gaza Strip.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim

Hazem Qasim described it as a continuation of the religious and cultural war against the Palestinians.

He said the Zionist regime, in line with its continuing crimes, does not allow copies of the Quran to enter the Gaza Strip, Al-Mayadeen reported.

The occupying regime, which has destroyed mosques in Gaza, burned Qurans, and destroyed libraries, is now even preventing the Quran from entering the hands of the people of the Gaza Strip, he deplored.

“What kind of creatures are these that prevent the glorious Word of God from reaching the believers?”

The Hamas spokesman also criticized the Islamic world’s silence and inaction towards the all-out siege of Gaza.

“What kind of inability is this that has gripped a great Ummah?” he wondered.

(The Muslim world) cannot even bring the most basic needs, including food, medicine, and now copies of the Quran, to the oppressed people of Gaza, he added.
