Ayatollah Khamenei’s Message Conveyed to Russian Council of Muftis
On Thursday, Kazem Jalali met with Mufti Hazrat Ravil Gaynutdin, the head of the Council of Muftis of the Russian Federation, and conveyed to him the message of appreciation and gratitude of Ayatollah Khamenei.
It came following a message of condolences sent by the council to the Leader after the martyrdom of former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli strike on February 28.
In Thursday’s meeting, the Iranian ambassador appreciated the positions of Mufti Gaynutdin and Russian Muslims’ announcement of solidarity of with the people of Iran in the face of the US-Israeli aggression.
“Iran did not attack any country, but America attacked our country twice in the middle of negotiations by deception,” he noted.
Emphasizing that security and stability in the Persian Gulf must be ensured by the regional countries, he said that years ago, the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution invited all Persian Gulf countries to localize security.
“Arab countries are our friends, we never intended to attack them and we never have, but instead of localizing security in this region, they made a big mistake by outsourcing security to American contractors.”
Stating that the Islamic Revolution returned Iran to the Islamic front, Jalali said Arab countries should say what the crime of the Islamic Republic of Iran is that Iran is being attacked from their soil today.
Stating that the Zionist regime's problem is not only with Iran, but it does not tolerate powerful Islamic countries in the region, the envoy said if the Iranian issue is resolved for Western countries, which it will not, the next turn will be for the Islamic countries of the region.
“To confront this conspiracy, we must return to the teachings of the Quran, which is unity and holding on to the rope of Allah.”

Mufti Gaynutdin thanked the Leader and announced the renewed solidarity of the Muslims of the Russian Federation with the government and nation of Iran against the aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States.
Russian Muslims support Iran and sincerely admire the steadfastness and courage of the Iranian nation, he said.
The aggressors intended to incite the people against the government by occupying Iran, but the Iranian nation destroyed their sinister plans with its cohesion and unity, he stated.
The Chairman of the Council of Muftis of the Russian Federation referred to the conspiracy of the Zionist regime and the United States to pit Arab countries and Iran against each other and to create a rift among the Islamic nation, and said the Islamic Republic of Iran, through the international community, honestly and transparently announced to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf that if attacks are launched against Iran from American bases, it will be forced to attack these bases.
He said military bases cannot guarantee security and stability, and that Arab countries have realized this.
“If Muslims have solidarity and cohesion, the satanic front will never be able to repeat the aggression against Gaza, Syria, Iran, and Lebanon,” he added.
