IQNA – The Islamic Seminary of Najaf in Iraq held a memorial service for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

The Islamic Seminary of Najaf in Iraq held a memorial service for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

 

It was organized at the Al-Khazra Mosque of the city and attended by religious figures and scholars, seminary students and scores of Iraqi people.

Among those present was Allama Sayed Ahmed al-Safi, the custodian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala.

The participants performed mourning rituals and prayed for divine mercy and blessings for the soul of the martyr and patience for his devotees.

Earlier, Iraq’s top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali al-Sistani offered condolences to the Iranian people and Muslims around the world on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, calling on the Iranian nation to maintain unity and not to allow the enemies to achieve their sinister objectives.
