Quranic Servants Association Lauds Wise, Prudent Election of New Leader
In a statement issued late on Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Assembly offered condolences on the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei and other martyrs in a US-Israeli attack on February 28 and condemned the brutal US-Israeli aggression on Iran.
The statement said that immediately after the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, and despite the wartime conditions and direct threats by the enemies, the Assembly of Experts wasted no time in fulfilling its constitutional duty, and began the process of selecting and introducing the new leader.
It said that after precise and extensive reviews, and based on its religious duty, the Assembly, in its meeting of Sunday, selected and introduced Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
On Monday, the secretariat of Iran’s Association of the Holy Quran Servants hailed the decision.
“Infinite thanks and praise be to the Almighty God, who once again bestowed His grace upon the God‑seeking nation of Iran by establishing a descendant of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), from the noble lineage of Ali and Fatimah (peace be upon them) and of Husseini descent, on the seat of leadership of the revolutionary Iranian nation and the freedom‑seeking followers of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family),” the secretariat said in a statement.
“The wise and prudent decision of the elected representatives of the nation in the Assembly of Experts, in fulfilling the divine command of the Holy Quran which says: ‘Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due…’ (Qur’an 4:58), has brought comfort and reassurance to the noble people of Iran and to all followers of the martyred Imam of the nation, while spreading despair and frustration among the fronts of disbelief, global arrogance, and Zionist aggressors.”
The association also declared their wholehearted allegiance to this dear and wise leader, praying to Almighty God to grant him a long, blessed life and success in continuing the path of the the martyred Imam of the Revolution.
