
The center is affiliated with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq.
According to the Astan’s Information Center, the meeting took place at the Pakistani official’s office in Islamabad.
It was held in a friendly and positive atmosphere, and strategies for promoting friendship between religions and faiths, strengthening the culture of coexistence and mutual respect in Pakistani society, and religious, cultural and scientific issues were discussed.
The delegation provided explanations about the religious, educational, cultural and intellectual activities carried out by the Imam Hussain (AS) Cultural Center in Islamabad and explained the role of the center in spreading Islamic teachings, promoting intellectual and cultural awareness and serving different segments of society, as well as its efforts to strengthen the values of moderation, closeness and Islamic unity.
The delegation, on behalf of the Astan, officially invited the Pakistani minister of religious affairs to visit the holy shrines in Iraq.
The delegation also explained some of the scientific, religious, humanitarian and service projects under the supervision of the Astan and emphasized the prominent role of the Astan in serving humanity and spreading the values of empathy, brotherhood and tolerance throughout the world.
