Iranian Qaris Attend Quran Recitation Event in Baghdad

IQNA – A Quran recitation session was held in Iraq’s capital with the participation of renowned qaris from Iraq and Iran.

A Quran recitation session was held in Iraq’s capital with the participation of renowned qaris from Iraq and Iran.

 

It was organized at the Tahrir Square in the heart of Baghdad, the IRIB reported. 

A large number of Iraqi youths attended the spiritual program to remember the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

Several internationally acclaimed qaris, including Hamed Shakernejad and Ahmad Abolqassemi from Iran and Sayid Hassanayn al-Hulw and Osama al-Karbalayi from Iraq, recited verses from the Holy Quran at the event.

It also included rituals in memory of the martyred Leader of resistance, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

The organizers said the program was aimed at reviving the culture of resistance and enhancing cultural and belief bonds between the Iranian and Iraqi nations.

Ayatollah Khamenei, along with a number of senior Iranian commanders, was martyred in an airstrike launched by the US and the Zionist regime on February 28, 2026.
