Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized the necessity of stopping the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
He said this issue has been foreseen within the framework of existing understandings.
Asked about the US pressure to include Arab countries in the Abraham Accords, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said everyone has witnessed that Washington’s only priority in the West Asian region is to support the Zionist regime and that the Americans do not place any value on the real security and stability of the region.
Setting conditions by the US for the region is a way to divert public opinion from the main issue, he said, adding that the Israeli regime is the main cause of insecurity in the region.
“An unnatural entity cannot be made to appear normal with so-called normalization projects,” he stated.
Baghaei said no party in the region that has the slightest respect for itself would commit the murder of a nation, adding that plans such as normalizations attempts are in fact imposing an illegitimate entity in the region, the consequences of which the whole world will soon see.

In response to a question about the talks between US President Donald Trump and the Israeli regime’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as the role of the Zionist regime in the talks between Iran and the US, the spokesman said the Zionist regime is busy carrying out its usual duty, which is sabotage.
Nothing else should be expected from Israel except sabotage and destruction of any process of dialogue and negotiation, he said.
In response to a question about the Zionist regime’s mistreatment of the Gaza Flotilla activists, as well as the actions of Itamar Ben-Giver, the extremist Israeli minister, Baghaei said the duty of the international community towards this situation is completely transparent and clear.
“If you condemn only one specific person, but ignore the obvious reality - that this person committed such crimes within a coherent system and structure - you are in fact in self-deception. What the Zionist regime's authorities are doing against all the countries of the region are not merely sporadic and isolated actions, but are part of a codified and designed policy over several decades. If European countries expect their actions in response to this crisis to be assessed as positive and constructive, they must very clearly and decisively take meaningful and practical measures against the entirety of the Zionist regime.”
