Iran Int’l Quran Contest: Head of Organizing Committee Appointed

IQNA – The head of the organizing committee for the 42nd and 43rd editions of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Holy Quran Competition was named.

 

Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization in a decree appointed Hojat-ol-Islam Nasereddin Nourizadeh as the head of the committee.

In the decree, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi emphasized the necessity of keeping alive the memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the martyrs of the Ramadan War.

By activating the secretariat and utilizing all available power and capacities, as well as with the full assistance of the organization’s deputies and managers and appropriate utilization of the capacity of other executive agencies of the country, and by observing cost savings and careful planning, efforts should be made to hold this competition in the best way possible, he stated.

The International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is annually organized by the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.

The competition aims to promote the Quranic culture and values among Muslims and showcase the talents of Quran reciters and memorizers.

The final round of the Quranic event’s 42nd edition will be held in the month of Tir (June-July) this year with the participation of representatives from 58 countries.
