Speaking in a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday, Head of the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Nassereddin Nourizadeh said the preliminary stage was organized virtually with 104 countries declaring their readiness and ultimately, the representatives of 58 countries reached the final stage.
Due to important events in the country, including the Third Imposed War (Ramadan War or the US-Israeli aggression on Iran) and the enemy's conspiracies, as well as the martyrdom of Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and his companions, the final stage of the competitions was delayed, he noted.
Now, with the decision of the head of the organization to pursue Quranic programs more seriously, the finals have been rescheduled to be held in the month of Tir (June-July) this year, the cleric added.
