In this regard, Ahmed Aa-Musalmani, head of the Egyptian National Media Organization, praised the efforts of the Holy Quran Radio to preserve the Quranic heritage of the country and thanked the family of Sheikh Minshawi for their continuous support of the radio and making the rare recitations of the late qari available to the public.
Ismail Douidar, head of the Holy Quran Radio, said that broadcasting the recitation is part of the media outlet’s strategy to enrich its radio programs with “eternal gems” and explain the unique professional and human dimensions of the lives of famous reciters.
He said that after receiving approval from a specialized committee consisting of prominent scholars of Quran recitation and Tajweed, Master Minshawi, along with Engineer Farouk Amer, recorded the entire Quran in Tarteel according to Hafs’ recitation from Asim in 1965.
The head of the Holy Quran Radio emphasized that these recordings had not been broadcast despite the passage of several decades until this media decided to broadcast them and offer listeners a unique spiritual experience and highlight Sheikh Minshawi’s sincerity and effort to complete the recitation of the entire Holy Quran.
Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi is considered one of the qaris of the golden age of Egypt’s recitation.
