IQNA – All of Iran’s representatives in the fifth edition of the Karbala International Quran Award in Iraq won rankings in various categories.

All of Iran’s representatives in the fifth edition of the Karbala International Quran Award in Iraq won rankings in various categories.

 

The closing ceremony of the international Quranic event was held on Wednesday evening, June 10, at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala.

According to the panel of judges, all seven representatives of Iran were among the top winners.

In the category of memorizing the entire Holy Quran, Iran’s Mohammad Laini won first place and Amir Hossein Attarzadeh came third.

In the category of Quran recitation, Omid Hosseinnejad finished runner-up and Yousef Jafarzadeh came fourth.

In the youth category, Asgarnejad, Najafi and Hosseinzadeh came third to fifth, respectively.

The fifth edition of the Karbala International Quran Recitation and Memorization Award began on June 6 at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and ended Wednesday night with a closing ceremony in which the top winners were awarded.
