Naming children after the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution is a clear sign of the growing interest and attention of a part of the Southeast Asian community to influential figures in the Islamic world, he said.
Choosing the name of the martyred Leader for Indonesian newborns in a way indicates the role of Muslim families in transmitting revolutionary values and inspiring models for future generations, he added.
Jahangiri also said, “Previously, a short time after the martyrdom of the Imam of the Ummah, an Indonesian couple had named their newborn baby ‘Ali Khamenei’ in the Tibon district, located in the city of Kampar; an action that had a wide reflection in the media in Indonesia and some countries in the region.”
