The contest is being held with the support of Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, under the supervision of Nahla Al-Saidi, advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar for Foreign Students.

This event is being held within the framework of Al-Azhar's efforts to strengthen the connection between foreign students and the Holy Quran, encourage them to memorize the Quran and master the recitation and Tajweed, and foster a spirit of positive competition among students.

The Center for the Development of Education for International and Foreign Students of Al-Azhar explained that the preliminary stages and the competition exams will be held in compliance with the regulations and conditions, and among the most important of these conditions is that the participant must be a foreign student of one of the branches of the Imam Tayyib Quran Memorization School and have the necessary ability in his/her desired field, including memorization of the entire Quran, half of the Quran, or 10 Juzes (parts), and must also be proficient in the rules of Tajweed and Quran recitation.

The exams will be conducted by a group of scholars from Al-Azhar University specializing in Quran recitation, and the highest standards of accuracy and fairness will be observed in evaluating the participants.

After the preliminary stages, the top 10 foreign students in each field will be selected, and the competition will have a total of 70 winners.

Cash prizes worth 700,000 Egyptian pounds will be awarded to the best, and all participants will receive certificates of appreciation.

The closing ceremony will include honoring a new group of foreign students from the Imam Tayyib Quran Memorization and Recitation School.
