11th Humanities Elites Discourse Program Launched with Interdisciplinary Admissions
This year’s iteration introduces a significant policy shift by opening admissions to students from non-humanities backgrounds, including mathematics and experimental sciences.
The program, which involves prominent faculty members from leading Iranian universities, aims to provide a comprehensive pathway for academic and intellectual development in theoretical and research fields.
A distinguishing feature of the current cycle is its interdisciplinary admissions approach. Organizers have extended eligibility beyond high-achieving humanities students to include those from mathematics and experimental science disciplines who demonstrate an interest in theoretical studies. The initiative is intended to harness diverse academic backgrounds and facilitate deeper scientific dialogue among participants.
The program’s educational and research framework is structured around three primary components:
Foundational Studies: Covering Islamic studies, contemporary Iranian history, and the foundations of modern science.
Educational and Research Courses: Delivered in two tracks—an “education-focused” track comprising 60 course units, and a “research-focused” track designed to guide and support theses and independent investigations.
Specialized Studies: Encompassing fields such as law, economics, psychology, management, social sciences, educational sciences, political science, as well as the theoretical foundations of experimental and basic sciences.
The program is being promoted under the motto: “Thinking is taking a step toward the boundless”. Organizers describe it as an exceptional opportunity for students who are committed to intellectual engagement, scholarly discourse, and a deeper understanding of humanities to work alongside leading academics.
