Iran Culture Minister Says Promoting Quran High on Agenda
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said promoting the Quran and its teachings is top on his ministry’s agenda.
Speaking in a meeting with Quranic officials at the ministry, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili underlined the important status of the Holy Quran in Iran’s society.
He said the 1979 Islamic Revolution achieved victory with the motto of establishing a Quranic rule.
According to Emaeili, it is the duty of the Culture Ministry to help the promotion of the Quran, its concepts, and its teachings.
That way, establishment of a Quranic society would be possible, he said.
It will also lead Muslims to a new Islamic civilization, the official went on to say.
Esmaeili also said the activities of the ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy will continue with strength.
