Muharram Mourning Ceremony Underway in Hamburg

A mourning ceremony is being held on the occasion of Muharram Month by Hamburg Islamic Center at Imam Ali (AS) Mosque of the city.


According to izhamburg website, the program began on November 4 at 6 p.m. local time and will continue until the 10th of Muharram Month.



Following the congregational evening prayers, Hojat-ol-Islam Mandegari, Iranian cleric and preacher, presents speeches on Ashura uprising and martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).



The program continues with mourning rituals, supplications and some cultural programs for the youth and teenagers.



A special ceremony will be held on the Day of Ashura on November 14 from 10 a.m. local time at the Islamic center of the city.
