“Role of Radio Programs in Introduction of Islam in Africa” Forum in Senegal

A regional forum on “the role of radio programs in introduction of Islam in Africa” will be held from November 27 to 30 in Dakar, Senegal.


According to APS website, the International Union of Quranic and Islamic Radios will organize the forum in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Da’wa and UNESCO’s National Commission in Senegal.



It has been planned in line with programs of The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with the aim of disseminating Islamic teachings.



Representatives from Mali, Senegal, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, Togo and Niger will participate at the forum.



The role of radio programs in introduction of true Islam, opposing the extremist thoughts and preventing Islamophobia to develop in Africa will be investigated at the program.



Directors of Islamic radios in Africa will present and exchange their experiences about production of influential programs and the methods of attracting listeners.
