Winners of Sultan Qaboos Competition for Holy Quran Memorization Honored

The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) has honored winners in the 23rd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Competition for Holy Quran Memorization in a ceremony held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Hinai, State Advisor.

The competition was held in 6 levels: memorizing the Holy Quran as a whole with reciting, memorizing 24 parts of the Holy Quran with reciting, memorizing 18 parts of the Holy Quran with reciting, memorizing 12 parts of the Holy Quran with reciting, memorizing six parts of the Holy Quran with reciting and memorizing two parts of the Holy Quran.

3 top competitors of each group, the oldest participant, the youngest participant and a Quran family were honored during the ceremony.

The honoring ceremony of the competition was attended by  Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili, Grand Mufti of the Sultanate, Habib bin Mohammed al-Riyami, SQHCCS Secretary General and a number of state officials.
