Palestine’s Ministry of Culture said the Palestinian National Mus’haf is being calligraphed in Malaysia.

The ministry said a number of most qualified Palestinian calligraphers are working on the Mus’haf (Quran copy), Ma’an news agency reported.

It said the project aims at promoting Islamic calligraphy as an Arabic art.

According to Fikri Juda, director general of planning and projects department at Palestine’s Awqaf Ministry, the Palestinian calligraphers have a six-month stay in Malaysia to complete the calligraphy of the Mus’haf.

He said the project is implemented based on an agreement signed between Palestine’s Awqaf Ministry and the Rastu Institute.
