According to Al-Arab fi Britania website, Britain is experiencing a particularly dry summer and authorities have announced that about 71.3 percent of the country's land is affected by drought and millions of residents are living in areas facing water restrictions.

According to reports, the UK experienced its driest July in nearly 190 years due to record low rainfall and a sharp rise in temperatures, a situation that has led to a drop in river and dam reservoir levels and the imposition of water restrictions.

In response to the crisis, Muslim scholars have called on mosque imams to lead prayers for rain across the UK staring on August 15, to include prayers for rain in Friday sermons and to hold these prayers in open spaces.

Experts emphasize that tackling the drought is not limited to the spiritual realm, but also requires avoiding water waste and protecting natural resources, in line with government calls to rationalize consumption.
