The conference was jointly organized by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Cultural Center in Bangkon and the representative office of the World Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Assembly in the city, IQNA’s East Asia branch reported.
More than 200 scholars, researchers, and cultural and religious officials as well as seminary and university students took part in the day-long event.
Ilias Kita Ratai, president of Thailand’s Research Society and head of the conference, thanked the Iranian cultural center for organizing the event and said: “Muslims need to be aware of the world’s developments and one of the major issues in today’s world is Islamic Awakening”.
He noted that the conference has been convened to discuss different aspects of Islamic Awakening.
University and seminary scholar Muhammad Sharif Git Sumbun also addressed the conference, delivering a speech titled “From Ahl-ul-Baty (AS) to Velayat-e Faqih”.
He underlined that Ayatollah Khamenei is currently the Vali Faqih and it is upon everyone to follow his guidance.
The conference also featured several forums on different issues such as leadership in the Muslim world, Islamic unity, and Muslims’ life in Thailand.
