Imam Khomeini (RA) Int’l Festival Planned in Qom
Speaking at a press conference, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Kazem Seyyed Bagheri said that “political thought of Islam” is the main theme of the festival to be hosted by Dar-ol-Shefa Conference Hall of the city.
Ayatollah Sobhani, Hojat-ol-Islam Bushehri and Seyyed Hassan Khomeini will be among the scholars to participate at the international program.
Identifying and encouraging researches and intellectuals and providing opportunities for promotion and development of political studies in Islamic thought are some of the objectives of the festival.
The secretary also said that the program aims to deepen the knowledge of the society and seminaries in the fields of Islamic sciences, culture and thought while evaluating the skills and potentials of researchers and seminarians.
He further added that festival tries to promote the culture of research among the scholars in this field, introduce top books and sources and investigate the latest studies and achievements in this respect.
The program will also be attended by intellectuals from seminaries and foreign guests from Malaysia, Britain, Iraq, Syria and Indonesia.
He noted that the call for participation at the festival has been sent to more than 500 scientific-research centers and over 120 works have been received by the secretariat of the event.
