Iranian Cultural Center in Malaysia will hold a seminar on “world against violence and extremism” in February in Kuala Lumpur.

According to IQNA’s branch in East Asia, the seminar has been planned in line with the Iranian president’s proposal passed by the United Nations General Assembly.

De Palma Hotel in Kualal Lumpur will host the program to be attended by scholars and religious figures from Iran and Malaysia.

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) voted 190 to 1 in favor of a resolution based on President Hassan Rouhani’s proposed World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) initiative during his UNGA address.

On September 24, President Rouhani called for a World against Violence and Extremism during his speech at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

“We should accept and be able to open a new horizon in which peace will prevail over war, tolerance over violence, progress over bloodletting, justice over discrimination, prosperity over poverty, and freedom over despotism,” Rouhani said.
