Naela Shaaban said the Quranic schools for children that are set to be closed have violated the law, businessnews website reported.
“Some Quranic schools for children clearly violate the laws related to the activities of such centers,” she stated.
Shaaban, who seems to have been pursuing an anti-religious agenda, added that her orders about the schools’ activities have not been obeyed.
Islam is the official state religion in Tunisia. Approximately 98 percent of the population of the North African country is Muslim.
