In a forum held in Ethiopia on Saturday, the status of women in Divine religions was discussed.

The forum was organized on the occasion of Hazrat Zahra (SA) birthday by the cultural center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the country in cooperation with Mekane Yesus University, IQNA’s Africa branch reported.
Addressing the event, which was attended by a number of scholars and directors of government organizations and NGOs, Iran’s cultural attaché in Addis Ababa extended congratulations on Hazrat Zahra (SA) birthday and elaborated on the lofty status of women in Divine faiths.
Seyyed Kazem Mehrnia referred to Hazrat Zahra (SA), Hazrat Khadija (SA), Hazrat Maryam (Mary) and Asiya (wife of pharaoh as the four women who have the highest status among other women.
He also noted that Divine religions have common enemies who seek to undermine Divine values and beliefs.
Mehrnia urged that Divine faiths should be united against deviated attempts made by enemies against religious values and the institution of family.
Abiesseah Deibeisa, dean of faculty of religions in Mekane Yesus University, was another speaker at the event.
He warned that the enemies of Divine faiths seek to sow discord among the followers of Abrahamic religions, adding that their main target is the status of women and the institution of family.
