Iranian Quran Reciter, Memorizer to Leave for Tunisia on Friday

A Qari and a memorizer from Iran will take part in the international Quran competition of Tunisia.

Vali Yarahmadi, head of the Quranic affair center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization told IQNA that Peyman Ayazi and Mahmoud Norouzi will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and recitation of the Quran along with memorization of 15 Juzes (sections), respectively.
He said the two will leave Tehran for Tunisia on Friday, May 2.
Mutaz Aghayi wil accompany them in the competition as a guide, the official noted.
He said Azayi and Norouzi are attending a special preparation course to be fully ready to take part in the Tunisia Quranic event.
Yarahmadi went on to say that the course includes tips on Tajweed, Sawt, Lahn, Wqaf and Ibtida (techniques in Quran recitation) presented by the masters of the field.
The international Quran competition of Tunisia is slated to be held in the North African country from May 4 to 8.
