Dr. Ahmed Abu Halabiya, head of Jerusalem Committee at the Palestinian Legislative Council, confirmed that more than 45 countries will take part in the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ) on June 6, the 46th anniversary of Israel’s occupation of Jerusalem.

Abu Halabiya stated that preparations for GMJ are finalized amid Arab, Islamic and European participation to activate peoples’ support for Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque in light of the absence of Arab official support.
"Jerusalem is facing sustained attacks by the Zionist regime, which is trying to Judaize Jerusalem and wipe out its Islamic, Arab identity," he said.
GMJ will take place all over the Gaza Strip, West Bank, 48-occupied territories, coinciding with marches amongst many countries of the world, Abu Halabiya clarified.
A massive march is scheduled to be organized in Gaza Strip in presence of foreign activists and Turkish and Malaysian associations.
In Jordan and Lebanon, demonstrators will peacefully march as near to Jerusalem as they can safely get.
Practices like digging tunnels under Al Aqsa Mosque to undermine the foundations and cause it to collapse represent attempts to pave the way for building an Israeli temple on the site of al-Aqsa, noted Abu Halabiya.
