Morocco Has Over 50,000 Mosques

Morocco's minister of Awqaf and Islamic affairs said there are more than 50,000 mosques in the country.

Delivering a report on the activities of his ministry on Friday, Ahmed Toufiq said many of Morocco's mosques are located in villages and small town.
It shows the importance attached to religious issues by people from all walks of life in the country, he stated.
Toufiq added that the Moroccan king has ordered building new mosques and renovating the old ones in different parts of the country.
Located in North Africa, Morocco is among the countries whose population is entirely Muslim.
