“Woman’s Role in Development of Islamic Countries” to Be Investigated in Azerbaijan

The fifth edition of an international forum on “woman’s role in development of the OIC member states” will be held on October 20 in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to mubashier website, the program will be organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for two days.

In a meeting with Mervat Al-Talawi, head of Egypt's National Council for Women (NCW), Shahin Abdullayev, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Cairo, invited the Egyptian official to participate in the forum.

The rights of Egyptian woman in the new Constitution of Egypt was the theme discussed in this meeting.

The first edition of the international forum was held in 2006 in Istanbul.

Cairo hosted the second edition of the event in 2008.
