According to Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Rabbani head of the country’s Prisons Organization, the contest which will be running for four days is going to be held in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization of various parts of the holy Quran, comprehension, interpretation, Tarteel (intonational recitation), Tawasheeh ( religious songs) and Azan (call to prayers).
30 female and 170 male inmates from different prisons will compete at the competition which is evaluated by a jury of members from Tehran and Hamedan.
The Prisons Organization’s officials will attend the opening ceremony to be held on October 31st.
