New Mosque Opens in Ukraine

-- A new mosque was opened last week in Konstantinovka, a city in Donetsk, the Republic of Ukraine.
According to islam.ru website, the mosque was set up in cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organizations "Ar-Raed", Kuwaiti A l-Khayr Charity, and Muslim citizens in the region.
Completed in two years, the mosque is reportedly big enough to accommodate as many as 350 individuals for prayer and other religious observences.
An opening ceremony was attended by Jamal Al-Haddad, head of the Kuwaiti charitable association, Talal Al-Hazza, Kuwait counselor in Ukraine, Said Ismoilov and Rustam Abdikiyev, Muftis of the country and Avaz Sheraliev, head of the Muslim community of Rodni.
Over 600 Muslims of Donbass region and nearby towns as well as local and foreign guests took part at the program.
