Soleimani to Represent Iran at Algeria Quran Contest

Quran memorizer Hassan Soleimani will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran at Algeria’s 8th international Quran competition.
This is according to Vali Yarahmadi, director of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s education and Quran competitions office.
He told IQNA that Mr. Soleimani, who is from Zanjan province, won the memorization category of second prize in the 33rd national Quran contest held by the Awqaf Organization. The contest was held in February in the city of Yazd.
Algeria’s 8th international Quran competition is slated to be held during the holy month of Ramadan in the city of Tlemcen.
Quran memorizers and reciters from Islamic countries as well as countries like South Korea and Poland will take part in the contest.
Winners of first to third prizes will be awarded 10000, 8000 and 5000 dollars, respectively.
