IQNA – A mourning ceremony for Imam Hussein (AS) was held next to the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniyeh in Tehran Tuesday night, on the eve of Tasua.

A mourning ceremony for Imam Hussein (AS) was held next to the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniyeh in Tehran Tuesday night, on the eve of Tasua.

 

Thousands of people from different walks of life attended the mourning rituals that took place near the place of where former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was martyred a few months ago.

This year, the ceremony is held under the auspices of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei

The speaker of last night’s event was Hojat-ol-Islam Nasser Rafiei.

Referring to the Ziyarat-e-Nama of Hazrat Abbas (AS), he described the Qamar Bani Hashim as a righteous and obedient servant before Imam Hussein (AS).

“A righteous deed makes a person beloved and enlightened; as we have all seen, God has made a distinguished personality like the martyred Leader of the revolution, who was a righteous servant, so beloved in the hearts of the people that the nation continues to protect the streets and disappoint the ill-wishers in memory and based on his love.”

Elsewhere in this ceremony, Meysam Motiei, in mourning for Qamar Bani Hashim, Hazrat Abbas (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala, mentioned the tragedy and sang a lament for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the martyrs of the second and third holy defenses.
