A digital Quranic festival titled “Iman (faith) National Quranic Festival” is to be held by Sorush-e Mehr Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Mobile Company of Iran (MCI).
The institute’s managing director, Ebrahim Bahadori told IQNA that “The festival is believed to be the biggest Quranic festival ever held across the Islamic world in which 12 million students are expected to participate using computers and mobile phones.”
“The festival will kick off by distributing 12 million software programs among students who will receive related instructions via a TV program that will soon be broadcast on Iranian Education Channel,” he added.
Highlighting the necessity of using advanced technologies in educational sphere, he said that the software is able to evaluate the participants’ recitation and memorization skills and score them accordingly.
“After installing the software, students are required to take an examination in either recitation or memorization category and will receive a code upon gaining an above-50 score. Then, they can participate in the festival by sending the code and activating their account.”
“In order to avoid any unnecessary expenses, Hamrah-e Avval Mobile Company will offer the participants a free SIM card as well,” Bahadori noted.
