According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the educational workshop was held for India's seminary and university students.
Organized by the region's Al-Quran Institute, it was attended by Ziaul Hassan, Qamar, Sa’eed and Aref eminent intellectuals and religious scholars of the country.
It began with recitation of some verses from the holy Quran by the well-known Indian Qari Shams-ul-Haq and continued with speeches by Naseem Qazi.
He urged Muslims to contemplate on the verses of the Holy Quran and its teachings and try to act upon the teachings.
He further noted that a simple reading and memorizing of the Quran do not suffice adding that its message ought to be disseminated all around the world.
Also addressing the program was Jamil Ahmad, head of the Islamic Unity Movement in India, who clarified the divine missions of the Prophets (PBUT) and Imams (AS).
“God sent His messengers and Imams to put an end to slavery and save mankind,” he added.
