Emotional Link between Nation, Velayat-e Faqih Guarantees Protection of Revolution Achievements
Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the nation has realized well that the guardian of independence and solidarity has been Velayat-e Faqih (leadership of jurist).
Speaking at the open session of the Majlis on Wednesday, he added that the emotional link between the nation and Velayat-e Faqih had guaranteed the protection of the Islamic Revolution and its accomplishments.
He referred to the Fitna (sedition) in the country after the 2009 presidential elections, saying that both during the Fitnas at the time of Imam Khomeini (RA) and those since his demise, the link between the nation and Velayat-e Faqih safeguarded the revolution and eliminated the Fitnas.
He underlined that Iranians on the 9th of Dey rose up against the Fitna and demonstrated their power to the conspirators in the country and elsewhere.
The Majlis speaker further said the West has tested the Iranian nation and realized that it cannot defeat the nation via military and security confrontation. “That is why the enemy has taken the war to the economic front. Their goal is to harm the core of the revolution and have only altered their tactics.”
He pointed to the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on Resistance Economy and said the issue of Resistance Economy and growth of production should be the basis of economic decision-making in the country.
In his speech, Dr Larijani also extended felicitations on the auspicious occasion of Prophet Jesus (AS) birthday, and said that neglecting the teachings of Christ (AS) has led to the materialism, bloodsheds and oppressions of today’s world.
“If the West were truly committed to the teachings of Jesus (AS), the sound of peace, justice, calm, fraternity, monotheism, and spirituality would be reverberating in the world,” he underscored.
