Cultural Deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology Gholam Reza Khajesarvi made the remark in an address to the first national conference of “Religious Democracy in Iran and Islamic Awakening”, adding that such capabilities and potentials can help the country provide a model for countries in which the Tide of Islamic Awakening has spread.
The conference began on Tuesday, February 12, at Allameh Tabatabaee University in Tehran.

Khajesarvi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has had a clear stand vis-à-vis this phenomenon and tried to help it so as to ensure the interests of the Muslim world.
He added that the conference of Religious Democracy in Iran and Islamic Awakening was organized to clarify the potentials of religious democracy and discuss ways for conveying the country’s experiences in this area to other countries.
Khajesarvi, who is the director of the conference, noted that 140 papers have been submitted to its secretariat, describing it as an indication of how important the issue is for the country’s academia.
