Hamas Warns against Judaization of Islamic Sites
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, warned against an Israeli decision to change the identity of nearly 300 Islamic sites in the occupied territories.
Issuing a statement, the Palestinian group said the move will be a stark distortion of history and an insult to Islamic sanctities, CPI website reported.
It underlined that the 298 sites that are on Israel’s Judaization agenda will remain the symbol of Palestine’s historical and Islamic identity and the Zionist regime will never be able to change their identity.
The group called on the organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to take an immediate and effective measure to confront the Zionist regime’s crimes and support the Islamic holy sites in Palestine.
It also condemned the world community’s silence over the crimes and illegal measures taken by the regime and urged the Palestinian nation to fight against the occupying regime.
The Zionist regime has recently said it plans to renovate 298 historical sites in the occupied lands.
